StoryDay is for everyone. It’s a highly curated weekly short story that takes your mind to a different reality for a very short time. Just long enough to get into it, but short enough to satisfy the itch.
It’s not to replace books and novels, but to augment them. For the time in between books when we aren’t ready to commit to another 400-pager but we want something different than the endless scrolling on social media.

There are a couple of free stories you can read without subscribing. For access to upcoming weekly stories and the full archive of previously published stories, you will need to subscribe.
Monthly subscriptions cost approximately the same as a cup of coffee. You can pay month-to-month or save by paying for an annual subscription.

Yes, there are currently 2 stories available to read for free: The Obsidian Bloom (fantasy) & The Ghosts of Maple Street (crime).
New stories will be published on story day - every Tuesday.
Yes, all subscriptions include all previously published stories!
Each story will be between approximately 4,000 and 10,000 words. These are meant to be read in 1 or 2 sittings, providing momentary escape with minimal time commitment. The estimated reading time is shown on each story's preview.
Our team curates each story with the assistance of AI. The ideas for each story are our own. We put considerable time and effort into creating compelling stories each week across a variety of genres. If this week's story doesn't fascinate you, maybe next week's will! Either way, it's a very short time commitment each week.
We read novels too, but sometimes we want a brief escape but don't want to commit to starting a new book. Think of it like watching an episode of Friends or The Office instead of starting a new Netflix series.
We fully support both established and independent authors. StoryDay is meant to augment their works, not replace them. We highly encourage you to purchase full-length books and novels, read them, leave them reviews, and recommend them to others. We do!
Currently, StoryDay is only available in English.
In its current form, StoryDay is intended for adults. While we don't intend to use profanity or mature content, it is not intended for children at this time.
You can cancel your membership at any time through your account page.
For monthly memberships, we do not offer refunds. For annual memberships, if you are not happy with your weekly escape, we will refund a prorated amount based on the current month of your membership.
